  • Do you provide food tastings for my wedding?

    Yes, you may make an appointment for a food tasting with your catering salesperson after you have discussed your event details, menu preferences, and overall event proposal. Usually, we require minimum 2 weeks notice to book tastings as we have many events going on at the same time.

    We allow up to 4 guests to attend the private tasting session at a cost of $250 and you may send us a list of 8-10 items you’d like to taste. Any additional guests would be chargeable at $50/guest (maximum 6 in total are allowed during COVID times). If you confirm your order with us at the same time, the tasting session would be complimentary.

  • Where do I come for tastings?

    Tasting sessions are held at our headquarters and Catering Office in South Plainfield, NJ. Our catering kitchen and cooking staff are separate from that of our restaurants and retail locations; more importantly, our menu offerings vary amongst the two! At our headquarter location, you will be tasting the food made by the catering chefs and team that would service your upcoming event.

  • Can I make my own custom menu?

    Definitely! Sukhadia’s specializes in custom menus and we do not have a package approach that we need you to fit in. Every event, every family, every taste bud is different and that’s what we love about working with our brides. Contact your catering sales specialist today and they can get you started on building the perfect menu for you.

  • What is your kids policy and pricing structure?

    Children 5 years and below are free of charge up to 5% of your adult guarantee. Children above this age are same as the adult price.

  • Do your chefs make non-veg and fusion cuisine?

    Yes! Our culinary team has a great mix of Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Thai, and Mediterranean offerings. Our Executive Chef specializes in Fusion Cuisine and crafting unique dishes that mix non-Indian cuisine with an Indian flare. Our Non-Vegetarian chef cooks exclusively for our catering brand and offers the most flavorful and tender meat dishes for cocktail and reception style events.

  • Do you provide service staff and bartender staff?

    Included in your catering contract will be catering staff, culinary staff, and manager team that will come and service your event’s food part. If additional service staff or bartender staff is required, Sukhadia’s does have a partnership with a 3rd party staffing company and can assist you in working with them to hire additional staff for your event.

  • Do you provide wine or liquor?

    Sukhadia Caterers is not licensed to sell alcohol and we do not carry liquor liability insurance. We can definitely provide recommendations on select pairings and menu offerings.

  • Can we rent items like tables and chairs from you for my event?

    We do not provide rental items such as tables, chairs, linens, china, silverware, etc but we can definitely create an itemized list for you and recommend venders who supply these items.

    Sukhadia will also work with your vendors/decorators to discuss any food related stalls and layouts.

  • Apart from the menu cost, what other charges can I expect for my event?

    Sukhadia’s will provide you a proposal outlining each event’s menu cost, which will be based on the menu details, amount of and complexity of items, and overall wedding package. Apart from this, Sukhadia will outline the service/staff charges, transportation cost, and sales tax; clearly detailing what is included in the whole proposal. You may work with your catering salesperson to go through this in more detail.

  • Do you offer just the food without the service part?

    Sure, we offer delivery or pick up options. Pick up is available from any of our NJ locations and we also have party trays available for pickup which you may order from www.sukhadia.com. We do offer Delivery to your doorstep where our driver would bring the food and drop-off. This service does not include any equipment, setup, staff, servers, warmers, etc.

  • Can you provide disposable products, china, or chafing dishes?

    Yes, we can provide premium disposable products at an additional cost. We assume that your venue will provide chafing dishes and buffet display equipment for our use. If this is not the case, Sukhadia’s can provide chafing dishes and all buffet equipment at an additional flat fee.

  • Can you accommodate special dietary needs?

    We have a wide variety of vegetarian, Jain, vegan, gluten free, halal, and other special dietary menu items. When you speak to us to plan your event, please let your salesperson know and they can suggest specific items that will be suitable. Please do mention any food allergies at this time as well.
